Mid Century Modern Studio Art Pottery Tripod Three Footed Vase Incised Chop Mark
Presenting a splendid Scandinavian? Tripod-style studio art pottery vase from the Mid Century Era. This vessel has three feet and a slightly triangular mouth opening- classic modern style. The surface of the stoneware vase is incised to create a bark-like texture, and then glazed with a natural medium-tan gloss glaze. The bottom of the piece has a very clear studio chop mark which appears to be a flower Lily or Lotus? I have researched many archives, but have been unable to identify the artist. Many Scandinavian chop marks contain flower symbols, so this is my best educated guess. The vessel is in beautiful condition with no chips, cracks, or damage to the delicate incising. There is some minor wear to the rim of the vase, which may just have been produces as a result of the incising decorative process. Item has been stored in a smoke and virus-free environment.
