A Very Large Alan Wallwork Vase. An interesting waisted organic vase by Alan Wallwork of a design circa 1950/1960. Second quality as indicated by the score line through the AW on the base. I have taken a look around the piece and I can see three or so flat chips on the inside rim which were probably done during the firing process (the orange areas are part of the glaze effect). In all honesty because of the rough construction of the vase they are not really all that apparent to the observer. It is still a very large imposing piece as shown in the last picture where I have seated a six inch pod form next to it (which isn’t part of this sale). Dimensions are approx 42cm (16.5 inches) tall and 15.5cm (6 inches) wide at the mouth. Pictures are of the actual item for sale. Of course, if you prefer you may also opt for cash on collection.
