Originally the company changed to the production of simple, functional table and kitchen utensils, glasses etc. From 1880 by Ceramiche Capraia (with the figure of a wolf and a goat as logo) to The Brothers (Fratelli) Fanciullacci… In 1911 it was decided to move the operation from Capraia to the other side of the Arno river in Montelupo. They were so immediately a success that in 1914 the company had more than 1,000 different shapes, making it one of the most attractive in the country and making ceramics the largest employer in the region. During these early years, the company continued to focus on the production of Stovigliere, but slowly branched out to a rich repertoire of artistic products. They understood the pulse of both the Italian people and the American consumer (main export goal of the company). The brothers produced works in the latest style as soon as they appeared. At the end of the Second World War, Colorificio, the parent company of Bitossi, took control of Fratelli Fanciullacci, but allowed the family to operate the factory without much influence from the companies. On November 4, 1966, the Arno was flooded. It was the worst flood since 1557. Many people died and many of the art treasures, ancient manuscripts and monuments of Florence were lost. More than forty years later, the restoration and conservation work continues. In Montelupo Fiorentino, the Fratelli Fanciullacci was hit hard. More than a thousand invaluable molds, many of which date back to the founding of the company in 1911, were lost. The ovens were destroyed, the stock of Rohtoner was erased, as well as the inventory of finished products destined for export to the USA. The company ceased operations for more than a year and many of the company’s most talented artists and craftsmen were the area to find work and new homes for their families. Part of the production was moved to a new temporary factory in Florence, while the Montelupo site was renovated. Production and quality dropped dramatically in Montelupo after 1966. This is the year collectors are the last of the collectable ceramics of Fanciullacci. Fratelli Fanciullacci made a bold attempt to re-establish himself, but never seemed to create the spark of artistic genius that made him shine in the first half of the 20th century. Fratelli Fanciullacci ceased all operations in 1988. Für mich, die schöne. Stücke an Sie weiter geben zu können. Im Ausdruck für Ihr. Suchen, dann wird es Ihnen hier bestimmt gelingen.
