Alan Wallwork studio pottery small early round pot with seed holes NICE
An early Alan Wallwork small round pot. Width: 4 inches; Height: 2 inches. This is an older piece from the 1960s. The pot has small pock marks caused by Wallwork putting seeds in the surface of the pot before firing. The seeds burned away, leaving the holes and char marks. Marked with Walwork’s early “W” signature on the bottom. As with many of Wallwork’s smaller pieces, this one feels very good in the hand. A really nice example of his early organic work. His organic forms are instantly recognizable. Purchaser is responsible for any VAT that may occur due to import (this item is classified as an original work, and should incur a reduced rate). Please take all of this into account when considering your offer. This piece comes from my personal collection of studio pottery that has been accumulating for fifteen years.
