1980’s Raku Fired Double Winged Vase by Ceramic Artist John Bedding
John was born in London 1947, he started his career at 17 in south London and then trained and worked with Bernard Leach before moving to Japan expanding his technique. In the 1980s Bedding moved to Cornwall to set up his own studios and started experimenting with low fired fuming and Raku techniques. This stunning and vibrant Raku fired vase is a perfect example of Beddings work from this period. Rked on the base with the makers initials “JB”. H:20cm W:20cm.
