From a beautiful collection of porcelain at. Coscombe Fine Porcelain UK. He is well-known for his constant creativity and exceptional eye for shapes, proportions and patterns. Lindberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Stig Lindberg’s brilliant vase with a segmented shape, milky white glaze, and a Yellow linear decoration. She joined Gustavsberg in 1950 as a painter and worked there for over 40 years. She was part of the Nordic design tradition aiming for more beautiful everyday goods for everybody. Today her work is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Measures 23 cm high. Signed G and hand print for Gustavsberg Sweden; painters mark W for Karin Björquist. Condition: Excellent, no damages to the ceramic. Coscombe Fine Porcelain started as a private collection of figurines from the top porcelain houses in Denmark and Germany. Now 30 years on we have a large collection of rare late nineteenth and twentieth century ceramics from the principle sculptors and artists of their time in Europe. Our offices are based in a lovely old barn conversion near the North Cotswold village of Chipping Campden where every figurine is professionally cleaned and checked under UV light so an accurate condition report can be established before individual items are added to the website.
