Alan Wallwork pod vase
This is a very attractive pod vase by the celebrated studio potter Alan Wallwork. 8cm high with two tone glaze. Signed on the base. Condition appears to be very nice with no deliberate damage, chips, cracks etc. During firing, this pot appears to have been touching another pot resulting in a small patch where the glaze appears to be missing/rubbed off, see pictures. Another possibility is when the pot was being dipped in the glaze before firing, Alans’ thumb may have prevented the glaze reaching this spot.
