This is a superbly hand thrown and altered stoneware wonderful green ash glaze storage lidded jar with iron speckles by the most revered potter Richard Batterham. The base bears his glaze code. A great example of his work and a joy to hold and use. A very similar piece is in the collection of the V&A Museum in London. A rare opportunity to acquire a fine piece of his work. 8cm rim diameter, 9cm high. It is in superb, mint, original – as it was made condition – no cracks, hairlines or restoration.
