This is an unusual and large Phil Rogers studio pottery two handled oval dish with sgraffito decoration in slip. It is a heavy, thickly potted piece – both decorative and functional. It would look amazing on a dresser or plate rack. It is a great, classical piece of British studio pottery. It has the artists seal mark to the footrim and measures 36.5cm x 27cm x 9cm. There are a couple of faint firing lines to the inner well which have occurred in manufacture. It is a great object.
