Rare Collectible Stephanie Kalan 19cm Studio Pottery Celadon Ribbed Vase. A very rare and highly collectible circa 1960’s studio pottery squat vase by British artist Steph Kalan. This hand-thrown lightly-ribbed tactile vase is beautifully decorated in a celadon glaze with a striking star crackled finish. A very rare and highly collectible piece. Kalan started potting with her husband in Mitcham, South West London in 1952 before moving to Newport in Essex in 1962. She was an early member of the Craft Potters Association and has pieces of her much sought after work on display in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Kalan died in 1978. The vase is in lovely condition with no chips or cracks. The vase is 19. Tall and weighs 1,070. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like further details or pictures.
