Phil Rogers Studio Pottery Ash Salt Glazed Stoneware Slab Built Vase
A stoneware slab built vase with slopping shoulders on four small raised feet with a turned mouth. H 10.75 inch, W 8.775 inch, D 3.25 inch Salt and ash glaze finish in perfect condition and clearly signed. This is from the same firing as one shown, on the opening page, opposite the title page of Phil Rogers seminal work, Salt Glazing. I can only assume that as he placed the pot from this firing first in his book he rated it.
