A Nic Collins (born 1958) wood fired stoneware bottle vase, 27cm tall, incised signature to base. There is a small area of loss to the end of one of the brown glaze trails (see last photo), otherwise in very good condition – please see all photos for confirmation.
Celadon coloured lidded faceted vase. Approximately 10 cm’diameter’ around its rim. The vase is free from damage and has no chips, cracks, repairs or renovation. There are some firing spots as photographed. Very clear, impressed mark for Phil Rogers in the base as shown in photograph.

The vase is finished in a celadon glaze with highlights of ash glaze (Nuka). It has a strong Japanese feel. The vase is signed with the potter’s impressed stamp. He then attended Craft Council’s Pottery Skills Course in Republic Ireland where he trained for a further two years.
