Takeshi Yasuda Studio Pottery Tea Bowl Yunomi Signed. This work is early – this stamp was used on his work in the late 70’s and early eighties.
Sancailead-glazed ceramics of the late 7th and early 8th century Chinese Tang dynasty. Yasuda’s creation is stoneware, fired in an electric kiln, rather than the earthenware of the Tang Dynasty. Takeshi Yasuda is a Japanese potter who was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1943.
About John Wheeldon John Wheeldon took up ceramics while he was studying at Wolverhampton Polytechnic from 1969 to 1971. He then applies a copper matt glaze to the lower part and gas fires it to 1000° C.
Undamaged with no chips cracks or repairs. Green ash and iron glaze vase with applied Decoration. 22 cm tall Approx 14cm diameter around it’s midriff. Signed with impressed monogram for John Jelfs on base as photographed.

Stoneware bowl covered with green ash glaze with incised & combed decoration by Phil Rogers. 21 cm diameter 6 cm in height. The bowl is free from damage and has no chips, cracks, repairs or renovation. Very clear, impressed mark for Phil Rogers just above the foot ring as shown in photograph.
